|
|
Doesn't seem to be a NFL thread here, so I might as well start one. Anyone here bet on this sport? I seem to do pretty ok with it.
WEEK 12:
I wrote in another thread a while ago that I am doing about 100 drip campaigns, well, this week, I am going to bet:
* Dallas Hd2Hd against NY Jets (drip bet) $1.10
* Multi: Arizona (to beat San Francisco) & NY Giants (to beat Minnesota)
I was going to drip on the New England game, but I don't think Hd2Hd odds are even going to be posted for this game? |

| If New England is unavailable to bet on Hd2Hd for a drip, then I will put a bet on Pittsburg in the Monday night game. |

| Best of luck with this Crow...I find the NFL tough to pick, the cappers always seem to get the line within a couple of points of the result. |

I haven't played the lines too many times this season. I had a good win on a over / under earlier on.
My strategy is to pick two good certain Hd2Hd wins for the week, and multi them. Perhaps drip bet a couple of the locks, ie: New England, etc. |

Minnesota smashed the Giants, so there goes the Multi.
Had a fairly large bet on the Pittsburgh Steelers to beat Miami Dolphins.
Current team record before this game: Steelers 7-3, Dolphins 0-10 ... easily the worst team in the NFL, hence the big bet.
Christ, game went 0 - 0 until the last 20 seconds of the game, when the Steelers kicked a field goal to win 3 - 0
HEART ATTACK MATERIAL! |

Adding:
Well, having a bit of a flutter on this one, a 5-leg multi.
First leg already got up in the NBL (Taipans -6.5 / total score over 194.5 vs. Dragons)
* Indianapolis -6.5
* San Diego -4.5
* Tennessee -3.5
* New Orleans -3.5
$5 flutter to win $198.
As I said, first leg got up... which was the biggest hurdle, so fingers crossed. |

As I said, a flutter. Got 2 / 4 lines correct. |

Three Multi's this weekend, a mix of NFL and Soccer:
* 1 unit - Chelsea (Hd2Hd) & Jacksonville -10.5
* 1 unit New England (Hd2Hd) & Dallas -10.5
* 1.5 units Green Bay (Hd2Hd) & Manchester United (Hd2Hd)
I am pretty comfortable will those selections. All Hd2Hd bets are around the $1.15 mark (safe, home team favourites), and the way Dallas and Jacksonville are playing, especially against their opponents this week ... should cover the line.
We will see... |

Adding one more bet.
A couple of mates and I have started a Sports Betting Syndicate.
We had our first win last week on the Steelers vs. Bengals.
This week, we have a bet on Jacksonville to win Hd2Hd against Carolina.
Our intention is to get around at *least* 10 or so successfull bets, and keep drip betting all of those. |

Congrats Jimmy on Houston.
I forgot to mention (yes, I know, bad form)... I also had a small bet on Mayweather to beat Hatton in boxing.
So, 4 bets for the weekend. 3/4. 18% up or so. Can't complain.
Oh yeah, my mates and I (syndicate), our bet on Jacksonville got up. So, our Syndicate is 2/2. |

| Solid work Crow - FWIW I had money on Mayweather as well. Had 2 units on him winning and 0.5 units on him winning by points decision (1.55 and 2.40). He dominated the fight and Hatton just couldn't last the distance unfortunately. |

| New England should win, but with poor weather conditions likely the +24.5 for the Jets is worth a go for mine. New England by about 15-20. |

Also had a multi on:
* Seattle Seahawks -8.5 / Arsenal +0.5
Seahawks let me down. I thought it was a smart bet, since Carolina are pretty terrible. |

Only one bet this week, as I am on holidays in Melbourne (I am from the NT).
Just took a safe bet before I left Darwin:
* Jacksonville to beat Oakland Hd2Hd
I *was* going to get on the Minnesota line -6.5 but I didn't have time. |

Jacksonville smashed them as I thought they would.
Interesting to see the result of my 'hypothetical' pick, the Minnesota line as mentioned in the above post. |
