I have $17.63 in my betfair account. Instead of taking the easy option and topping it up with another deposit I'm starting a drip challenge to try and get it to $100. Inspired by Stone Cold's run..

First bet

Richmond v Fremantle
LAY Richmond by 39.5+
$1.15 @ $16

To win $1.15

it does seem a bit ridiculous any bet to win $1.15 but at this stage it is more about setting the challenge and seeing if it can be done..

over the first hurdle anyway... next bet to come soon

Don't worry mate, I am going through the same thing!

I have invested a total of $500 in different spurts since December '05, and a week or so ago was down to my last $20. Really re-evaluated what I was doing. Took a positive approach and told myself that this first 'bank' that *could* be lost is money WELL SPENT on research, what I am good at picking, etc.

So, with my online account, I am going small steps. Sometimes a small mini-drip as well, say from $3 to $20, bank that, start again until I get to $500.

Currently I am on about $54, so there has been some positive progress.

I am sure you will do well achieving the goal that you have set yourself!

Personally, I think that is entirely feasable. Could take years though if you are betting patiently and conservatively.

Haha, yeah I might just do that!

Actually, at 384/1, I wouldn't be far off - I'd settle for a 14 grand payout. Very Happy

can you put a multi on a team to qualify for to the next round and then win the world cup because that sounds like a way to automatically boost your odds easily?
