Never forgotten this one

SANFL 1956. Port Adelaide won Premiership, Magarey Medal (Davey Boyd), leading goalkicker (Rex Johns).

They lost one game all year - to South Adelaide. Punchline - it was the only game South won all season.

how about when Melbourne were 50 points down against fremantle at half time in a year when they were 0-6 and the shortest spoon favourites in history at this stage of the year.

That'd be up there Pez, at half time Freo would have been 1.01 for sure. Ferrero beating Nadal on clay yesterday was massive, breaking Nadal's freakish streak of 90 out of 91 wins on clay (don't know the exact number).

Soderling beating Nadal yesterday one of the biggest surprises I can recall. Now go Roger!

Incredible win by the mentally weak Soderling, breaks a 30 match streak at Roland Garros for Rafa who had several million traded at 1.02 and 1.03. With Novak also falling over, this is Roger's best chance yet (and maybe his last red hot go at the french).

Here's one to top the Lasse Viren comeback mentioned on page 1.

Read the link. It's a great story that can't be adequately summarised in a short post.

Anyone who beats Nadal at Roland Garros is not mentally weak.

That's my point, Soderling throughout his career has been mentally weak, which makes the way he held his nerve against Nadal even more amazing.
