Had a spare $30 sitting in my centrebet account so I figure, wtf, I'll have a go at one of these drip challenge thingies.

No set target, will just see what I can get it to come season's end.

Will try and limit to AFL as I don't really follow any other sports aside from cricket, though might be tempted by the odd WC game (even if the result of the Sweden/T&T game last night makes me a tad apprehensive!)

Bet 1

Melbourne v Collingwood

Mel +39.5

$30 @ 1.16

I must admit that when Leon Davis scored a goal within about 20 secs of the start I was thinking 'Oh shit'. Fortunately it was pretty much all Dees after that.

Am very, very tempted to follow up with a bet on the WC but will resist and wait for next week's macthes.

Haha. Oh well, at least I did the right thing and trialled it with a small amount.

Was always a risk going against the Crows as they're such a good side, but I just thought Saints had turned it around last week and were primed for a big one before the break.

Think I'll leave these drips to the experts from now on.

In the meantime, if there's anyone left who thinks the Saints are a genuine threat for the flag, I've just got one thing to say: "Pigs arse!"

That's why I don't think the +39.5 is a great technique of using the drip, but I think stone cold manages to choose the right ones most of the time.

I think now is a good time to back St Kilda for the flag, they should balloon out to about $20 you'd think, and they'll shorten next week for sure.

They will definately shorten next week Jimmy. that's because they don't play so they can't lose. Hehehehehe.

I don't think the Saints will make the top 4 (to many injuries) which will make it hard for them to win the flag.

IMHO, there is not much difference between St Kilda and Geelong. Both teams have very good lists but very poor attitudes and disgracefully coached.

Need to feel comfortable in the betting techniques you are using.

Haha Wink They play the Hawks in TWO weeks, which is a certain win.

This time last year when the Saints lost to Essendon after Round 12 or 13, people were saying the Saints were gone. In the end they ended up being in a prime position to take the flag and only lost because of their crap coach and the fact that they choked.

I think it'll be tough to make the top 4 unless they can steal Collingwood's or Melbourne's spot, but their form will improve. Take them at $20 now and I reckon they could shorten to about $12 later in the season.

Unlucky pigsarse but remember Adelaide are the best team in the comp that will win the flag this year so shouldn't be taken lightly (yeah I know, easier to see in hindsight hey? Wink)
